Religion - Unit 4 - God Made Me Active - “I Can Move”. God made us able to move, and our movements can praise God. The children will appreciate and enjoy their ability to move.

Social Studies - Understanding that people have diverse characteristics, interests, and abilities.
 
Language/Literacy - Encouraging language as a social tool. Communicating with friends in play situations. Recognizing/naming letters Aa-Ll.
 
Math - Sorting by single attribute. One to one correspondence. Focus on shape of the week: rectangle.

Religion - God Made Me Unique. Children will realize that God creates each of us special. They will appreciate all our wonderful characteristics that make each of us different. Seeds: The children will understand that Jesus learned by using his senses. They will identify and use their five senses and discover that this is how we learn about the world around us.

Social Studies - Scholastic: My BIG World with Clifford - “Snow Baby”. Arctic parents and babies. Seal pup’s first swim.

Science - Arctic Animals/Polar Regions: How do arctic animals stay warm? Classification of arctic animals. Relate animals to their environment. Blubber experiment.

OWL - Unit 4 - Week 2 - Out in the Fields: “How do machines help farmers?”

Phonological awareness: delete onset in words. Alphabet knowledge: recognize initial letters. Concept words: field, row, seed, soil, tool tractor. Amazing words: crowd, fancy, pond, fair, parade, startle
