Welcome to Little Knights Preschool

 at St. Joseph Catholic School!

Called to Discipleship: Be Christ’s Light

I am excited to be a part of the St. Joseph Catholic School community as the new full day preschool teacher working with four year olds. I look forward to being a part of such a positive and caring academic community where body, mind and spirit are nurtured and developed.

Although I earned my education degree in Ohio, I have been a preschool teacher in Libertyville for the last 15 years. I love teaching preschool children and seeing the world through their eyes. I believe a warm and loving environment both encourages children to learn as well as helps them gain self-confidence. I am a strong believer in learning through play as well as hands on learning to help foster a child’s creativity and development. I look forward to a positive, loving, and wonderful year with your child!

Seeds-week of March 29, 2020

Young children learn about friendship from parents, siblings, playmates, teachers, and classmates.  Friendship involves caring, helping, communicating, and sharing experiences.  Remind your child that Jesus had friends who he cared for, and Jesus' friends cared for him.  Talk to your child about friendship and caring.
Cataleya O. Has been so busy finishing up her learning packet and working on her activity grid.   Cataleya is looking forward to our first Zoom meeting next week.  Mrs. Gillespie can’t wait to see every one! ❤️
Landon is enjoying being outside on this beautiful sunny day!   He has also been busy practicing his letters!
Nicole has been keeping busy during Spring Break making a snowman with her brother, reading, playing games, and doing some activity pages!
Cataleya O.  did a science experiment with marshmallows today.  She observed what happened when she put them in 4 different liquids.   She even ore a lab coat!
