Thursday, March 13, 2025 Homework
Two field trip forms are coming home today. They can be paid together in cash or on one check made out to St. Joseph Catholic School. They are due by March 17th, please. Thank you!
Math - Practice Test worksheet - Chapter 9 test on Friday - (Today, we worked on a Practice test in class, and I provided another one as homework. This means they have practiced three times before our test tomorrow. Please keep practicing multiplication flashcards at home, as we will do a lot of multiplication in the next few weeks.)
Science - None (Since we are ahead a bit for Science, I did more Social Studies in class today with a First President's packet lesson. They learned vocabulary words such as Electoral College, inauguration, Cabinet, and political party. Some questions you might want to ask during dinner talk... What does unanimous mean? All electors voted the same way, or everyone agrees about something. What conclusion can you draw from the fact that a unanimous vote elected George Washington?... maybe he was a popular guy, or people thought he would do a good job. Here is an excellent inference question for this lesson... How did George Washington influence later governments?...he started the tradition of having a presidential cabinet to consult with him on different issues.)
Social Studies - D.O.G. is due by Friday (We read chapters 5 & 6 in our Declaration books and did the corresponding pages in the packet to these chapters. We are off to a great start as they already love this book and all the information it shares with us.)
Reminders:
- I offer office hours Monday through Thursday if your child needs me to reteach something in Math, Science, or Social Studies. Please email me for assistance, and we will meet via the Google Meet link.
