Thursday, December 14, 2023 Homework

Christmas Show is tonight - Thursday, December 14 at 6:30pm in the Church. All students must arrive to their classroom by 6pm. Parent's please try to take your child's jacket at drop off to the school. It's one less thing for us to worry about. Also, pick up is at end of performance in Church by coming up to me and checking them out. Thank you and looking forward to the show. Please see Mr. Showstead's email from a week ago letting you know proper attire to wear. Thank you.

Math - None (Today we started learning how to multiply decimals by other decimals. Example: 2.5 x 3.2 - We also multiplied decimals by the powers of 10 with a very simple trick I taught them. Example: 5.35 x 100 = 535 - All work and practice was done in class with me today. Please keep practicing multiplication flashcards at home as we will be doing a lot of multiplication in the next few weeks.)

Science - None  (Today I lectured about the test and the students all took hand written notes. These hand written notes can be used on their test tomorrow. Our Chapter 2 test is tomorrow.)

Social Studies - None,  but D.O.G. due tomorrow (Today we read about the Vietnam War, which was a subject area the students wanted to learn about and I was able to fit into my lesson plans for this week. They had to read chapters 9, 10, & 11. Then they answered the questions in the comprehension packet which also asked them to tell me what page they found the answer on....this is a very important concept to provide me with evidence of their answers.)
