Math - pgs 267 & 268 and extra worksheet assigned to your group (We worked on starting long division by dividing by two-digit divisors today. It was a little bit of a rough start, but most did get it. I'm hopeful that by the end of the  week, they will all get it smoothly. Please keep practicing multiplication flashcards at home as we will be doing a lot of multiplication in the next few weeks.)

 

Science - Schiff Only - pgs 60 - 65 in textbook and questions, and NO D.O.S. this week (Today my class read about what forces are. It is a push or pull that acts on an object. We are very well prepared for this unit after reading about Isaac Newton. Bubis's class did this yesterday.)

 

Social Studies - Pearl Harbor chapters 2, 3 , & 4 and comprehension packet of questions if not finished in class and State packet, and NO D.O.G. this week (Today we continued to read in our Pearl harbor books and answer some questions in our comprehension packets. Ask your child to tell you a fun fact from today's reading. I also passed out Sate packets to be done afterwards and if not finished they are homework. Reminder about 50 states test on November 17th...Students must spell the states correctly and make sure they are all capitalized too. If not, they will lose a 1/2 point on each one written incorrectly. They will have a word bank on the day of test, so they have to copy carefully and correctly. I have assigned games/quizzes on google classroom social studies for them to play and practice on too.)

 

 

 

 

- I offer office hours Monday - Thursday if your child needs me to reteach something in Math, Science or Social Studies. Please email me for assistance and we will meet via google meet link. 

 

- I offer afterschool Math group tutoring on Thursday's of every week until 3:15pm. Some weeks we review and some weeks we go ahead and learn the next lessons. We will also work on strengthening our math facts in multiplication. It is $30 per week if you'd like to join. You can come and go from week to week, but it is very beneficial. Contact me with any questions.

~ We will have our first field trip on Thursday, November 9th to The Grove in Glenview. We will see LongHouses from the Native Americans and also talk about Pioneers....all lessons we will have finished learning by then. Can't wait for this extra enrichment for the students.
