November 1, 2023 Homework

Math - Practice Test - differentiated by group (We worked on the Practice Test in class today and also was given to them as homework. This will be done tomorrow as well...therefore they will have done the Practice Test 4 times beofre the test.  Please keep practicing multiplication flashcards at home as we will be doing a lot of multiplication in the next few weeks.)

Science -  Isaac Newton Webquest if not finished in class, but D.O.S. has been passed out and due on Friday (Today we worked on an Isaac Newton Webquest. They had to search the website provided to find the answers to all the questions in packet about Isaac Newton.)

Social Studies - pages 170 - 183 in textbook and questions if not finished in class, but D.O.G. has been passed out and due by Friday (Today we started reading about life on Colonial Williamsburg and tried to look for what were the key parts of life for the Southern colonists back in the 1700's. Ask your child to give you some facts they learned in todays reading. Colonial Williamsburg acted as the center of British power in Virginia before the American Revolution. They also had many shoemakers that specialized in making one type of good and became experts in that craft. William and Mary college was also established where four men who later became presidents attended - George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, James Monroe, and John Tyler.  Reminder about 50 states test on November 17th...Students must spell the states correctly and make sure they are all capitalized too. If not, they will lose a 1/2 point on each one written incorrectly. They will have a word bank on the day of test, so they have to copy carefully and correctly.)
