Math : Chapter 3 - Divide by a One-Digit Divisor (one lesson per day)
- Monday - Chapter 3, Lesson 12 - Interpret the Remainder (objective: Interpret the remainder in a division problem)
- Tuesday - Review pages in textbook done in class
- Wednesday & Thursday - differentiated Practice Tests are worked on in class and as homework (they would have done this 4 times before the actual test)
- Friday - Our first differentiated Chapter 3 Math Test of the school year will be taken in class
Science: Finishing Isaac Newton….
- We will be finishing our Isaac Newton book and packets on Monday/Tuesday
- Isaac Newton Webquest on Wednesday
- Isaac Newton First Law of Motion Lab (penny on elbow) on Thursday
- Isaac Newton Third Law of Motion Lab (balloon on string) on Friday
- Weekly D.O.S. (Daily Oral Science) will be passed out on Monday as well - due on Friday
Social Studies: Lesson 8 - Slavery in the Americas
- Answer the essential question: What was the impact of slavery on African people?
- Describe life in West Africa in the 1500s and how trade of enslaved people began
- Identify the components of triangular trade
- Analyze how Africans survived the Middle Passage and responded to a life of slavery in the colonies
Lesson 9 - Life in Colonial Williamsburg
- Answer the essential question: What were key parts of life for Southern colonists in the 1700s?
- Identify important sites in colonial Williamsburg
- Describe six aspects of life in colonial Williamsburg: education, trades, social life, government, slavery, and religion
- Compare and contrast life in colonial Williamsburg with life in the students’ community
- Unit 2 Post-Test on Friday - it will be open book and open note from my lecture to them
- Weekly D.O.G. (Daily Oral Geography) will be passed out on Monday as well - due on Friday
