Math - None  (Today was a harder concept of estimating quotients. We went through it very slowly and the students did the work in class so I can see their work. Example: 488 divided by 8 can be estimated to 480 divided by 8 = 60 or it could be 450 divided by 9 = 50...depends on how your brain sees it. This is where it is important to know your multiplication facts. We also started our differentiated groups in class. I will talk about these at Parent/Teacher Conferences. Please keep practicing multiplication flashcards at home as we will be doing a lot of multiplication in the next few weeks.)

Science - None (Today we read pages 24 - 39 in our books on Isaac Newton before we begin the unit on Force in our text books. We also worked on the second page of the comprehension packet. Ask your child what they learned about him so far in todays reading.)

Social Studies - None (Today we read Chapter4 in a book called Colonial America in small groups where you pick your path on characters as you read and their journey through Colonial times. Ask your child where there path took them today and what they learned along the way.)
