During Circle Time the boys and girls thought of a lot of Letter P words. We also played a lowercase letter recognition game.

The boys and girls did a great job tearing paper to make their “I Love You to Pieces” craft.
The boys and girls used their cutting skills and number recognition skills to piece some valentine’s number together.
We read “Roses are Pink and Your Feet Really Stink”. We talked about what it means to be a good friend and how mean words can hurt a persons feelings.
We started the afternoon moving to our favorite Jack Hartman videos. A great way to get our bodies moving.
Getting ready for Valentine’s Day! The boys and girls decorated their valentine’s bags.
The boys and girls were given a sweetheart box with their last names written on it. They had to count the letters in their last name and then write each letter on a heart. The hearts were all placed in the box.
Our Religion lesson today was God Made Trees. We talked about what comes from trees and different animals that live in trees. Joseph was a carpenter and made things out of wood, a skill he taught Jesus when he was a young boy.
Media with Mrs. Hogslund. She read us a cute Valentine book and the children went on the computers.
Which hearts are the same and why? The boys and girls each took a turn to choose 2 hearts and then had to tell the class what similarities they had.
The boys and girls took turns pointing to each word as the class read the “I Like Hearts” poem. They did a great job identifying the same words and reading the color words.
