Jambo! (Hello in Swahili) The children listened to a version of the fairy tale story The Princess and the Pea based in Tanzania. Ask your child how the King knew if the woman was a real princess? How did she feel the pea under 20 mattresses? The children enjoyed making their own artwork version of the princess sleeping on top of the 20 mattresses. We used popsicle sticks, oil pastels and water colors to create this masterpiece.
