We read the story Brigid and the Butter, a legend about Saint Brigid of Ireland retold by Pamela Love. The children learned about how Brigid fed the poor and gave to others before herself. We celebrated the of our Ireland lesson with and Ireland flag treat (celery, string cheese and carrots, Irish Soda Bread with Irish Butter and Green River.  Yummy!
