Digital Literacy Curriculum and Parent Resources

At St. Joseph Catholic School, we recognize our responsibility to provide our students with the digital literacy and citizenship skills they need to be successful and safe in the 21st century. Our 1:1 computing program in grades 5-8 provide us the opportunity to engage students in acquiring these skills within the context of the instructional day. Our Director of Technology provides lessons to our middle school students on topics such as evaluating online resources, copyright, cyber bullying, and internet safety. Our student in grades K-5 also receive direct instruction and experiences in all aspects of digital literacy during Media Center classes.

We ensure all of our students are equipped with digital literacy and citizenship skills by utilizing the Digital Literacy and Citizenship Curriculum from Common Sense Media.
