Wednesday, 9/8/21, Homework + Reminders

Wednesday's homework is as follows:

1. Read 20 minutes

2. Math 2.4 homework pages (2 sides)
  • *Note: According to our Math book, "decompose" means to break down a number by its place value.
  • The homework problems will ask students to decompose numbers in 2 (or more ways). Please see the example problem on the sheet. Students should count the base-ten blocks when those are provided.
    • Additional example:

  • Friday, September 10th = Red, White, and Blue Dress Down Day to remember those we lost and honor the heroes of 9/11/01 - Please send in a $1 donation - the proceeds will benefit The Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers foundation which provides funds to pay mortgages and have houses built for families of first responders and soldiers who were either killed or severely injured. This now will include families from the 13 soldiers recently killed in Kabul Afghanistan. More information can be found on their website https://t2t.org. We will have a moment of silent prayer during our regular morning prayer time on Friday for those who lost their lives on 9/11/01. We will also be reading a couple of picture books this week that focus on the hope and resilience of our heroes and our countries following the attacks. *We will not go into detail about the attacks themselves.*
