Week at a Glance: April 10-14

Week of April 10 (*Some objectives are subject to change based on students’ needs.)

Reading: 

  • Continue learning about and correctly identifying the different types of figurative language used throughout A Night Divided
  • Show understanding of how to make inferences related to scenarios from Ch. 25-32 of A Night Divided
  • Show understanding of Ch. 33-36 with good class discussion
  • Identify vocabulary words from Ch. 33-40 in the chapters we read this week

Language Arts: 

  • Continue practicing Daily Oral Language (DOL) skills  
  • Continue learning about opinion/argumentative writing
  • Show comprehension of Week 25 spelling words (words with vowel changes)

Religion: 

  • Identify some of the similarities and differences among families
  • Identify the qualities of a healthy and holy family
  • Demonstrate an understanding of family identity
  • See how moods within the family affect each family member
  • Demonstrate ways of showing respect to self and others when handling any mood
