Reading: 

• Continue developing character web for Brian – the main character in Hatchet
• Complete a reader response assignment related to Ch. 16 of Hatchet
• Show understanding of the vocabulary words from Ch. 13-16 with correct answers on the quiz (Tuesday, March 9 for 5K, and Wednesday, March 10 for 5B.)
• Learn the vocabulary words from Ch. 17-Epilogue of Hatchet by creating a word journal
• Show understanding of conflict resolution in Hatchet

Language Arts: 

• Continue practicing Daily Oral Language (DOL) skills  
• Learn about double negatives
• Show comprehension of Week 19 spelling words

Social Studies: 

• Learn and show understanding of the Regions of Central America
• Show understanding of Chapter 3 Lesson 4 with correct answers to the end-of-lesson review questions
• Identify and understand the difference between fact and opinion
• Show understanding of Chapter 3 with correct answers on the review guide (*The tentative date for the Chapter 3 test is Wednesday, March 17, for 5K and Thursday, March 18, for 5B.)
