Reading: 

  • Continue developing character web for Brian – the main character in Hatchet
  • Respond to a journal prompt about how personal attributes can be useful
  • Show understanding of Ch. 13-16 with correct answers to the comprehension questions
  • Complete “A Chance of Scenery” writing activity related to Hatchet

Language Arts: 

  • Continue practicing Daily Oral Language (DOL) skills  
  • Learn about the difference between who and whom
  • Show comprehension of Week 18 spelling words

Social Studies: 

  • Analyze a primary source to draw conclusions about colonial society in England
  • Summarize what was promised in the Mayflower Compact
  • Describe the importance of the Mayflower Compact
  • Identify ways in which Europeans competed for economic opportunities in North America
  • Summarize the relationship between American Indians and the French, and between the American Indians and the Dutch
