We talked about wind today.  Good wind and bad wind.  The boys and girls then predicted what the wind (fan) would blow and what would not blow.  They filled out the prediction side and then we turned on the fan and they observed what actually was blown by the wind and recorded the results on their sheet.
We had Media with Mrs Hoglund.  She took us to the middle school science room to see the chick eggs.  When they hatch she will take us back to see them. Mrs Hoglund read us a book about baby chicks.
After a very busy morning, the boys and girls did a number 1-10:count the room.  They are getting so good at counting and writing their numbers!
The boys and girls took turns in their group to roll a dice and count the number. Then they had to roll another dice to determine which color they should use.  Once they had the number and the color and all colored the correct raindrop on their page.
Mrs Gillespie helped the boys and girls make a wind sock.  They did such a great job decorating them.  We hung them in our room.
Center Day.  The boys and girls worked in groups of 4.  They had to find upper and lower case matching letters along with a picture that begins with that letter. They had fun looking in the dried pasta for the letters.
We put on our sunglasses and went across the hall to Mrs Buyer’s room to have our Post video solar eclipse viewing.  The boys and girls were able to see how the solar eclipse progressed.
This afternoon the boys and girls did a rhyming write the room.  They had to find the picture on the wall and identify the rhyming word on their sheet and write the word from the card.  This was difficult, but the boys and girls worked very hard!
