Grade 7:

• to demonstrate command of the conventions of standard English grammar and usage when writing or speaking through the study of inverted sentences, compound subjects, and singular/plural pronouns

• to produce clear and coherent writing in which the development, organization, and style are appropriate to task, purpose, and audience through argumentation presentations

Grade 8:

• to demonstrate command of the conventions of standard English grammar and usage when writing or speaking through the study of inverted sentences, compound subjects, and singular/plural pronouns
• to produce clear and coherent writing in which the development, organization, and style are appropriate to task, purpose, and audience by  introducing multgenre projects
