Grade 7:
  • to demonstrate command of the conventions of standard English grammar and usage when writing or speaking through the study of clauses
  • to produce clear and coherent writing in which the development, organization, and style are appropriate to task, purpose, and audience through informative research with in-text citations and Google slide presentations/videos on Most Influential Person
Grade 8:
  • to demonstrate command of the conventions of standard English grammar and usage when writing or speaking through the study of adjective and adverb phrases, participles, gerunds, infinitives, and appositives
    • Review: Tuesday/Wednesday, March 12-13
    • Assessment: Thursday, March 14
  • to produce clear and coherent writing in which the development, organization, and style are appropriate to task, purpose, and audience by  an introduction to Paul Harvey narrative writing
