Grade 6:

• to demonstrate command of the conventions of standard English grammar and usage when writing or speaking through the study of punctuation rules
• to produce clear and coherent writing in which the development, organization, and style are appropriate to task, purpose, and audience by  introduction to character analysis paragraph writing 

Grade 7:

• to demonstrate command of the conventions of standard English grammar and usage when writing or speaking through punctuation rules
• Review Wednesday and Thursday; Assessment Friday

Grade 8:

• to demonstrate command of the conventions of standard English grammar and usage when writing or speaking through punctuation rules.
• to work on teambuilding through ELA group tasks, argumentation groups, etc.
