Week at a Glance: March 20 - 24

Note: Students will go outside for recess in the snow and cold. Please dress appropriately. 

 

Grade 6:

• to  craft myths and tall tales in which the development, organization, and style are appropriate to task, purpose, and audience 
• to demonstrate command of the conventions of standard English grammar and usage when writing or speaking with verb usage. Module 9 Review: Thursday, March 23; Module 9 Assessment: Friday, March 24

Grade 7:

• to demonstrate command of the conventions of standard English grammar and usage when writing or speaking with modifiers. Module 11 Review: Thursday, March 23; Module 11 Assessment: Friday, March 24

Grade 8:

• to demonstrate command of the conventions of standard English grammar and usage when writing or speaking with punctuation part II
• to introduce rhetorical analysis through a variety of classic literature writing styles
• to share clear and coherent media presentations through Paul Harvey's style of storytelling/writing in which the development, organization, and style are appropriate to task, purpose, and audience
