Note: Students will go outside for recess in the snow and cold. Please dress appropriately.
Grade 6:
- to demonstrate command of the conventions of standard English grammar and usage when writing or speaking with sit/set, lay/lie, etc.
- Module 7 Review: Wednesday, February 8; Assessment: Tuesday, February 14
- to produce clear and coherent tales in which the development, organization, and style are appropriate to task, purpose, and audience
Grade 7:
- to demonstrate command of the conventions of standard English grammar and usage when writing or speaking with sentence patterns: simple, compound, and complex
- Review: Monday, February 6; Assessment: Tuesday, February 7
- to produce clear and coherent writing through informative multi-paragraph essays in which the development, organization, and style are appropriate to task, purpose, and audience
Grade 8:
- to demonstrate command of the conventions of standard English grammar and usage when writing or speaking with simple, compound, complex, compound-complex sentences
- Review: Monday, February 6; Assessment: Tuesday, February 7
- to produce clear and coherent writing through informative public service announcements (PSAs) in which the development, organization, and style are appropriate to task, purpose, and audience
