Grade 6:
  • to demonstrate command of the conventions of standard English grammar and usage when writing or speaking with principal parts of verbs: past, present participle, past participle
  • to produce clear and coherent fables in which the development, organization, and style are appropriate to task, purpose, and audience 
Grade 7:
  • to demonstrate command of the conventions of standard English grammar and usage when writing or speaking with sentence patterns: simple, compound, and complex
  • Review: Friday, February 3; Module 7 Assessment: Monday, February 6
  • to produce clear and coherent writing through informative 3-paragraph essays using in-text citations in which the development, organization, and style are appropriate to task, purpose, and audience 
Grade 8:
  • to demonstrate command of the conventions of standard English grammar and usage when writing or speaking with simple, compound, complex, compound-complex sentences
  • Review: Thursday, February 2; Module 7 Assessment: Friday, February 3
  • to produce clear and coherent writing through informative public service announcements (PSAs) in which the development, organization, and style are appropriate to task, purpose, and audience
