to produce clear and coherent short stories in which the development, organization, and style are appropriate to task, purpose, and audience

Grade 7:

to demonstrate command of the conventions of standard English grammar and usage when writing or speaking with sentence structure: simple, compound, complex
to produce clear and coherent writing through informative writing responses/essays using in-text citations in which the development, organization, and style are appropriate to task, purpose, and audience

Grade 8:

to demonstrate command of the conventions of standard English grammar and usage when writing or speaking with clauses and sentence structure: independent, subordinate, adjective, adverb, noun clauses and simple, compound, complex, compound-complex sentences
Review: Monday, January 23: Module 6 Assessment: Tuesday, January 24
to produce clear and coherent writing through SJCS memory poems and introducing informative PSAs in which the development, organization, and style are appropriate to task, purpose, and audience
