Grade 6:
- to demonstrate command of the conventions of standard English grammar and usage when writing or speaking with agreement: compound subjects, doesn't vs. don't, and indefinite pronouns
- Module 6 Review: Friday, January 20; Assessment: Monday, January 23
- to produce clear and coherent informative mini-research work about the Little Rock Nine and Brown vs. Board of Education in which the development, organization, and style are appropriate to task, purpose, and audience
Grade 7:
- to demonstrate command of the conventions of standard English grammar and usage when writing or speaking with clauses: independent, subordinate, adjective, adverb
- Review: Tuesday and Wednesday, January 17-18; Assessment: Thursday, January 19
- to produce clear and coherent writing through informative paragraphs using in-text citations in which the development, organization, and style are appropriate to task, purpose, and audience
Grade 8:
- to demonstrate command of the conventions of standard English grammar and usage when writing or speaking with clauses: independent, subordinate, adjective, adverb, noun
- Review: Friday, January 20: Assessment: Monday, January 23
- to produce clear and coherent writing through CSW Why I Love SJCS essay and SJCS memory poems in which the development, organization, and style are appropriate to task, purpose, and audience
