Week at a Glance: December 12-16

Note: Students will go outside for recess in the snow and cold. Please dress appropriately. 

 

Grade 6:

• to demonstrate command of the conventions of standard English grammar and usage when writing or speaking: Monday, December 12 - Sentence Pattern Assessment
• to produce clear and coherent informative writing including a thesis statement, 5 paragraphs, and a title page in which the development, organization, and style are appropriate to task, purpose, and audience 

Grade 7:

• to demonstrate command of the conventions of standard English grammar and usage when writing or speaking with with phrases: Monday, December 12 - Module 5 Phrases Assessment
• to produce clear and coherent informative writing and Second Continental Congress reenactment in which the development, organization, and style are appropriate to task, purpose, and audience 

Grade 8:

• to demonstrate command of the conventions of standard English grammar and usage when writing or speaking with infinitive, gerund, participial phrases: Friday, December 16 - Module 5 Phrases Assessment
• to produce clear and coherent informative writing in partners/teams including citations, a title page, and works cited page in which the development, organization, and style are appropriate to task, purpose, and audience
