Grade 6:

• to produce clear and coherent writing in which the development, organization, and style are appropriate to task, purpose, and audience through character descriptions/analysis

Grade 7:

• to produce clear and coherent writing in which the development, organization, and style are appropriate to task, purpose, and audience through narrative story arc and character description

Grade 8:

• to produce clear and coherent writing in which the development, organization, and style are appropriate to task, purpose, and audience through argumentation writing including in-text citations
