Week At A Glance

Week at a Glance

Week of April 25-30, 2022

Math: We will practice making and interpreting different types of graphs. We will review tally charts, and introduce pictographs and bar graphs. Then, we will analyze the data we gather from the graphs, asking questions like, “How many more…?”, “How many total people voted?”, etc. to use the graphs and understand them.

Science: No Science - See Social Studies

Language Arts: We will switch from working on our informational African animal reports to opinion writing. Additionally, we will practice our grammar skills of capitalizing sentences and titles and ending our sentences with punctuation marks.

Reading: We will work on encoding and decoding words with long i syllables. We will practice our fluency and expression daily with our Superkids Reader. We will also switch back to our reading groups with our chapter books.

Social Studies: We will switch back to Social Studies for a mini unit about the government. We will learn what citizens are, as long as what rights and responsibilities citizens have.

Religion: We have finished our Blue books in preparation for First Communion, so we will spend the next couple of weeks reviewing the responses for the Mass, along with stories of the Bible that relate to the sacrament of the Eucharist.
