Week at a Glance: September 2nd - September 5th, 2025
Sixth Grade Science: This week, Sixth Grade Students will begin their unit on Plate Tectonics. We will begin our unit by learning about Drifting Continents. Students will learn about the distribution of fossils and rocks, continental shapes, and sea floor structures.
Monday- No School
Tuesday- Drifting Continents presentation and notes on vocabulary words.
Wednesday- Drifting Continents presentation and notes on vocabulary words (continued).
Thursday- Workbook pages 8-11
Friday- Who was Alfred Wegener video and Foldable activity
Seventh Grade Science: This week, Seventh Grade Students will begin their unit on Living Things. We will begin our unit with What is Life? Students will be able to identify the characteristics of all living things, and be able to identify what all living things need to survive (Air, water, shelter, ect).
Monday- NO School
Tuesday- What is Life? Presentation and notes on vocabulary words.
Wednesday- What is Life? Presentation and notes on vocabulary words (Continued).
Thursday- Workbook pages 8-15
Friday- What is Life review packet
Eighth Grade Science: This week, Eighth graders will begin their unit on Matter. We will begin our unit with Describing Matter. Students will be able to identify the properties used to describe matter (Physical Property, Chemical Property, ect.)
Monday- No School
Tuesday- Presentation on Describing Matter and notes on vocabulary words.
Wednesday- Presentation on Describing Matter and notes on vocabulary words (continued).
Thursday- Workbook Pages 10-13
Friday- Describing Matter Review Packet
