• Students will continue novel study of Holes including author style, parallel story lines, and character motivation.
• Students will check comprehension of Latin & Greek unit 6.
• Students will practice identifying vocabulary in context.
• Students will complete one i-Ready Reading lesson.
• Students will read independent novel.

Seventh Grade Reading:

• Students will continue novel study of Touching Spirit Bear including point of view, character traits, sensory details, and word choice.
• Students will check comprehension of Latin & Greek unit 7.
• Students will practice identifying vocabulary in context.
• Students will complete one i-Ready Reading lesson.
• Students will read independent novel.

Eighth Grade Reading:

• Students will identify key ideas and details in a narrative nonfiction text.
• Students will design a monument to honor the Code Talkers.
• Students will find and use evidence from two related texts.
• Students will check comprehension of Latin & Greek unit 7.
• Students will practice identifying vocabulary in context.
• Students will complete one i-Ready Reading lesson.
• Students will read independent novel.
