Week of 10/9/23



3rd - 5th grade

The students have been learning Los colores in Spanish class this week. As we recognize Hispanic Heritage month (Sept 15-Oct 15). We are continuing to learn about someone new each day in class. This week we will be combining  art history, as we continue to learn our colors.  The Students will be learning about Frida Kahlo, Diego Rivera and Salvador Dali.  Each grade will color their work sheets and they will present the colors they use in Español. This is a great learning experience as they practice making presentations and learn to converse in Español.

6th grade:

  • The 6th Grade numeros quiz (20-40) has been pushed back until Friday 10/13/23
  • This week the students have started to review about El Cuerpo and La sala de Clase and we will continue to work on the packet.
  • Students will also begin to review their days of the week, the alphabet, la fecha and los meses.


7th grade: 

  • The 7th grade numeros quiz (30-60) been pushed back until Friday 10/13/23
  • The 7th graders have chosen the Spanish Influential Leader to write their report on.

They will do their research in class which will include a Google Slide presentation and create a pennant that will be displayed outside of the Spanish classroom.  The Pennant of their Influential leader will be presented in Espanol.


8th grade:

Will visit the Holocaust Museum on Wednesday 10/11/23.  Please make sure your student eats breakfast in the morning as they will not eat lunch until we return to school at 1:00PM


This week: We are excited to learn about various Hispanic Influential Leaders.  The students will begin to present their Hispanic Leader report this week.

  • 8H is due Monday 10/9/23 - Presentations begin. 
  • 8L is due Tuesday 10/10/2 - Presentations begin.
  • The 8th grade quiz (50 -100) has been pushed back until Friday 10/13/23.
