Week of 9/22/25
5th Grade:
Students will continue learning about a notable and influential Spanish speaker in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month. They are exploring who the person is, what they are known for, and the country they are from.
This week, students have also begun working on the second portion of their flipbook, which includes:
- Los días de la semana (Days of the week)
- Los meses y las fechas (Months and dates)
- Las estaciones (Seasons)
6th Grade:
Students will continue learning about a notable and influential Spanish speaker in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month. They are exploring who the person is, what they are known for and the country they are from.
Para Empezar – Auténtico 1 (En la clase).
Students will continue working from the hardcover Auténtico 1 textbook.
Objective:Describe weather conditions
Identify the seasons.
- Compare weather conditions in the Northern and Southern Hemispheres.
- Worksheet Vowel sounds a,e,i,o and u and the letter C Page 9 & 10
- Repaso de capitulo (Chapter and vocabulary Review)
- Conjuguemos Vocabulary practice.

7th Grade: Hispanic Heritage Month Project
Seventh grade students are celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month by completing a Hispanic Influential Leader Project. Each student has selected a leader and will:
- Create a pennant in Spanish with important facts.
- Prepare a short slideshow presentation in English (3+ slides) to share with the class.
Pennants will be displayed outside the Spanish classroom as part of our celebration. Students will use class time to complete their projects.
Due Dates:
- 7 Delaney / Showstead – Wednesday, October 1, 2025
- 7 Secketa – Thursday, October 2, 2025
8th Grade: Hispanic Heritage Month Project
As part of our Hispanic Heritage Month celebration, 8th grade students have each selected a Spanish-speaking country for their report (e.g., Uruguay, Paraguay, El Salvador, Honduras, República Dominicana, etc.).
Each student will:
- Create a banner in Spanish only highlighting their chosen country.
- Prepare a Google Slides presentation, with each slide written in both Spanish and English.
- A rubric and full project guidelines will be posted in Google Classroom. Students will have class time this week to work on their projects.
Due Date:
- 8 Forlenza & 8 Leonhardt – Thursday, October 2, 2025
