Mr. Mark Abbate- ART
Mr. Abbate is on his 26th year here at St. Joseph Catholic School and is looking forward to another great, artistic year. He graduated from the Art Institute of Chicago in 1980 with a BFA. and enjoys painting, working in clay, creating mosaics, and a lot of mediums in between. He also teaches gym to the younger grades.
This school year we are changing up the art curriculum and are having a main focus in drawing, shading, color theory. The first lessons will be about learning to use geometric shapes into generating different types of animals and humans.
All classes 3rd through 8th grade will be required to have a sketch book.
Each class (K-8th grade) will be required to bring any medium (crayons/color pencils) that they will be using to class.
