Hello St. Joseph families, 

 

My name is Lisa Walsh and I am the School Counselor at St. Joe's. I graduated with my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from UIC, and I received my Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from Roosevelt University. I am also a registered yoga instructor, and I enjoy incorporating mindfulness into my work with students. This is my 17th year as a school counselor. I have worked in both therapeutic and private school settings. 

 

I believe every student has the desire and ability to succeed when given proper tools and support. It is my goal to ensure all students at St. Joseph feel a sense of belonging and have the support they need to be successful. I facilitate social and emotional discussions and activities relevant to the age and stage of students monthly in each classroom. I also work closely with teachers and staff to ensure the needs of students are met and everyone feels supported throughout the day.
