Math: Chapter 9 comes to a close this week Thursday! We will take the chapter 9 test on Thursday.  
 
Monday: Comprehensive fraction review. Lucky Charm Data Collection.
Tuesday: Chapter 9 Lesson 9 Multiply Fractions by Whole Numbers.  
Wednesday: Chapter 9 Review
Thursday: Chapter 9 Test
Friday: Easter Fractions. 
 
Reading: We will complete U4W4 this week.  Our genre this week is Historical Fiction.  Our story this week is "Secret of the Winter Count," by Jacqueline Guest. 
(As always the audio has been assigned on google classroom for extra listening practice.) We will read through the story twice this week and discuss comprehension questions.

Grammar: Possessive Nouns
Language and Conventions: Comparative Adjectives (Comparing two people, places or things.)
Word Study: Add the prefixes "im, in, and ir" to base words. Base words do not change their spelling.
Objectives:
-Know grade-level word analysis skills in decoding words
-Demonstrate command of the conventions of standard English usage when writing.
-Use knowledge of language and its conventions when writing.
 
Spelling: This week we will learn to spell words with the prefixes im, in, ir, which mean "opposite of."

Wednesday: Spelling Choice 
Thursday: Spelling Choice
Friday: Spelling notebook is due and we will take the U4W4 spelling test. 
Objective:
-Demonstrate and apply spelling knowledge by spelling words using knowledge of prefixes. 
 
Science: Unfortunately our pinto beans did not sprout over the weekend.  We are back to square one! Trying new fresh beans on Tuesday. 
We will also continue our Chapter 4 on plants and animals.  We are almost finished with the movie Wall-E. We will wrap up this week with discussing comprehension questions. 
 
Religion:  Students will continue to self reflect their journey through lent.  
We will have scriptures on Thursday.
