Week at a Glance: March 13 - 17

Note: Students will go outside for recess in the snow and cold. Please dress appropriately. 
 
Grade 6:
  • to share clear and coherent folktales and to craft myths in which the development, organization, and style are appropriate to task, purpose, and audience 
  • to demonstrate command of the conventions of standard English grammar and usage when writing or speaking with pronoun usage. Module 8 Review: Monday, March 13; Module 8 Assessment: Tuesday, March 14. 
Grade 7:
  • to demonstrate command of the conventions of standard English grammar and usage when writing or speaking with verb usage including tenses, sit vs. set, rise vs. raise, and lie vs. lay. Module 9 Review: Wednesday, March 15 and Module 9 Assessment: Thursday, March 16
Grade 8:
  • to demonstrate command of the conventions of standard English grammar and usage when writing or speaking with punctuation: dialogue, apostrophes, and contractions. Module 15 Review: Tuesday, March 14 and Module 15 Assessment: Wednesday, March 15
  • to produce clear and coherent media presentations through Paul Harvey's style of storytelling/writing in which the development, organization, and style are appropriate to task, purpose, and audience
