Grade 6:

to produce clear and coherent writing in which the development, organization, and style are appropriate to task, purpose, and audience through Tomorrow's Alphabet activity and character descriptions/analysis

Grade 7:

to demonstrate command of the conventions of standard English grammar and usage when writing or speaking through sentence review work (predicate of a sentence, compound sentences/verbs, Module 1 Sentence review and assessment)
to produce clear and coherent writing in which the development, organization, and style are appropriate to task, purpose, and audience through narrative story ideas, story arc, and character description

Grade 8:

to demonstrate command of the conventions of standard English grammar and usage when writing or speaking through sentence review work (simple subject and simple predicate of a sentence, compound subjects and compound predicates, Module 1 Sentence review and assessment)
to produce clear and coherent writing in which the development, organization, and style are appropriate to task, purpose, and audience through argumentation analysis via text and writing outline
