Read your little weekly book “Am I?” in your Reader’s and Writer’s Notebook
Make sure to point under the words as you read and highlight your sight words (I, am) with a yellow utensil. Look at the pictures to help you and sound out the words you don’t know. Practice reading the book several times with someone at home.

Independent Work time:
Please remember to have your child log on to the iReady app(blue, orange and green cube) and complete both the Math and Reading Diagnostics. Please have your child work on these when they have free time and when it works for your family. Please DO NOT help your child with any of the questions because this will not provide an accurate score for your child. Your child may complete them anytime between 7:30AM-2PM during this week and next week of school. See my email from Friday, Sept. 11 for more information regarding iReady.
