Sixth Grade Science:
Air masses and Thunderstorms
- Students will gather and synthesize information to identify the major air masses that affect the weather in North America and describe how they move.
- Students will apply scientific ideas to explain the types of weather that are associated with cyclones and anticyclones.
Seventh Grade Science:
The Circulatory System
- Students will construct a scientific explanation based on evidence for how the circulatory system works together with other body systems.
- Students will analyze data to describe which body system work together to obtain transport materials
Eighth Grade Science:
The Skeletal System
- Students will gather and synthesize information to identify the functions of the skeleton.
- Students will analyze data to describe the characteristics of bones and to explain how to keep bones healthy and strong.
