Reading

Grammar Simple Solutions

  1. Complete lesson 129 in your Green Simple Solutions
  2. Here is a video of the questions being read aloud.
    • Here is the YouTube link.
  3. Upload a picture of your completed lesson to Seesaw.

Read Aloud + Activities

  1. Watch this video read aloud of The Dot by Peter Reynolds (YouTube link). (Even if you have heard or read this story before, take time to listen again. It is such a beautiful story!)
  2. After watching the video, complete the questions on page 1 of this packet.
    1. Listen to the directions here (YouTube link).
    2. Please write your answers in complete sentences, and be sure to answer both parts for each of the 2 questions.
    3. If you do not have access to a printer, please write your answers on any paper of your choice.
  3. Upload your completed answers to Seesaw.
  4. Bonus *Optional* Activity - On page 2 of the same packet, create your very own Dot drawing/artwork. You can make your mark like Vashti did. See where your creativity takes you! ;)

Math

Math Simple Solutions

  1. Complete lesson 123 in your Simple Solutions Red Math book.
  2. You can listen to the questions here (YouTube link).
  3. Upload a picture of your completed assignment to Seesaw.
  4. Bonus - Check out this short video that reviews the grid problems where students are asked to find the number of square units once they trace rows and columns. 


Math - Fractions

  1. Watch this video mini lesson here (YouTube link). We will review how to identify fractions and how to write numerators and denominators.
    • Please follow along with the mini lesson on this paper. (Complete all of the problems from the video. For extra optional practice, you can complete the others on this paper.)
  2. After watching the lesson and completing the first paper, please complete this activity where you will identify fractions. We will complete the first one together in the video, since it is a little different than the lesson.

  3. Upload a picture of BOTH of your completed activities to Seesaw (the one from the lesson AND the one you completed on your own).

Science

Solids, Liquids, and Gases Quiz

  1. We are wrapping up our mini-unit on Solids, Liquids, and Gases!
  2. BEFORE completing the quiz, please watch this review video. (YouTube link)
  3. You will complete this quiz, which is a review of what we have learned in the unit.
    • If you do not have a printer, please do this on a separate piece of paper. Please number your answers.

Religion

Mass Booklet

  1. Read through pages 31-33 in your Mass Booklet (“Concluding Rites” “Dismissal” and the “Prayer”)

Religion - Pentecost Activity

  1. Watch this video with a read aloud of the story of Pentecost (YouTube link).

  2. After listening to the story, please complete the activity found on this page about courage (sentences and picture). Courage (also called “fortitude”) is one of the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
    • Listen to the directions (and an extra explanation) here (YouTube link).
    • Please note: “I don’t know” or “I can’t think of a time” is not an acceptable answer. Also, please label your picture.
    • If you have trouble thinking about a time you had courage, ask your parents if they can help you remember a time. ;)
    • You can complete this on your own paper if you do not have access to a printer.

With parental permission, do your favorite activity. We have been doing a lot of activities over our remote learning and I want you to pick your favorite and enjoy it for at least 20 minutes. Have a great summer, stay healthy, stay active, go Knights, and can't wait to see you soon!
