Math - None (Today, Mr. Rebmann (middle school math teacher) administered the math placement test. They did 16 problems today, and will do another 16 tomorrow. There is nothing to prepare for or study for before this test. After the tests, he will take the tests to grade. Please continue practicing multiplication flashcards at home, as we will do a lot of multiplication and division in the next few weeks.)
Science - Thomas Edison packet due by Friday (We started our new unit on Earth and Space today with reading 2 lessons. Here are some questions: Why do stars appear to be moving in the sky?... The stars appear to be moving because the Earth is spinning. Name two ways the Earth moves?... Earth revolves around the sun and rotates on its axis. How many hours does it take for Earth to make a complete rotation?... It takes 24 hours to make a complete rotation. What is the North Pole?... The North Pole is the northern end of Earth's axis. )
Social Studies- Escape by Night packet is due by Friday, and D.O.G. is due by Friday (Today, we learned about President Hoover, President F.D. Roosevelt, President Truman, President T. Roosevelt, and Presidential Pets in the White House. Ask your child to tell you one fact about each President. We also watched short kids' videos on each President assigned in Google Classroom.)
